Lady Gaga inspires IGD’s installation
21 June 2010
Indoor Garden Design have created horticultural installations in the grounds of Sir Elton And David Furnish’s home in Windsor for the Elton John AIDS Foundation White Tie and Tiara Ball taking place on Thursday, 24 June.
In order to create a dramatic entrance to this year’s White Tie and Tiara Ball, hundreds of Dahlias and Digitalis ‘Dalmatian White’ have been planted, together with an eclectic mix of objects used for mulches - including plates, bottles and cutlery. All of this leads to a mysterious woodland tunnel made of birch and hedra.
Indoor Garden Design’s Creative Director Ian Drummond, who has built a reputation as one of London’s leading horticultural designers, said:
‘It is such a thrill to be invited back to Sir Elton’s home again this year. Creating a landscape for the prestigious White Tie and Tiara Ball this year has been particularly good fun, as designs have been influenced by Lady Gaga’s dramatic and individual style’.
