Landscape Design Trade Show 2009

The Landscape Design Trade Show 2009 closed after two great days. We would like to thank all visitors and exhibitors, seminar speakers and sponsors who made the event a success.

Show organisers, eFIG Ltd were delighted with this year’s attendance figures.  Despite the current economic gloom, the show exceeded their expectations.

“We are very pleased with the exhibition and events that we organised for all the visitors” said Tim Law, eFIG chairman “All the 15 seminars were very popular and I am so very pleased that our hard work proved to be mirrored in the growth in show attendance. This reaffirms the event’s position as a must-see show in the landscaping calendar”.
eFIG’s Trade Show opened its door for the first time in 2001 and was designed for interior landscaping sector only. Now in its 8th year, event has grown in size and included the exterior landscape suppliers, it offered an extensive education programme and live demonstrations alongside a comprehensive trade-only exhibition, which showcased the products for the entire landscaping industry. The show also provided an invaluable insight into the sector for landscape architects, architects, interior designers and facilities managers.

“Inclusion of the exterior landscape suppliers was always our long term aim for the eFIG Exhibition” continued Mr Law. “We recognise the great need of organising an inclusive trade show that will represent both interior and exterior landscaping industries. Nowadays many of the interior landscapers are providing some of exterior landscaping, and we hear about many of the exterior people moving into interior market. There is no clear cut separation in both industries and very often customers are looking for one company to provide comprehensive services; that is why we decided that it is vital to encourage and involve exterior landscapers in our Show”

The Landscape Design Trade Show brought complementary products and suppliers from the landscape industries and championed the ultimate in landscape design and celebrate the latest innovations. Following its mission to promote all aspects related to landscape industries and associated sectors, eFIG is proud to announce that 1st edition of the Best Landscape Product Awards 2009 was won Preserved Cloud Tree by Pouliot Ltd.

The key to the success of this exhibition is not just the quantity of visitors but also their quality in terms of decision-making or ability to influence decisions concerning the purchase of landscaping products and services. Visitors were also prepared to travel from further afield with an increase of attendance of Scotland, Ireland and Wales, and also Europe.

“We have had a terrific range of events and exhibitors this year. The feedback we have had from exhibitors has been immensely positive” says Tim “Soon we will be starting preparations to the next Landscape Design Trade Show, and we are confident that the Show will be even bigger and even better in two years’ time.”
