PAYE record keeping: What happens if you don't keep or retain adequate records?

Business Link provides a raft of information and advice to keep you free of business problems.

Although we are sure you keep up-to-date records, we thought you might like to be reminded of the penalties for not conforming especially when it comes to PAYE records.  “If your company or organisation does not keep adequate records for statutory payment purposes, or does not retain records for long enough, you may be charged a penalty of up to £3,000.”

October is a popular month for special days and raising awareness.  Probably the best known is Breast Cancer when the whole month is devoted to promotion of this disease, from research to care and beyond.

Food for thought?

The River Plant Aquarium blogged at eOffice in August showed a new twist on a concept to build locally-based and self-reliant food economies.  It featured designer Mathieu Lehammer ‘s plant aquarium which takes inspiration from the natural ecosystem found in rivers using hydroponics and a refrigerated aquarium as a hatchery for freshwater fish!

Interior Plants Receive Preliminary Approval by the IgCC

The International Green Construction Code (IgCC) has given preliminary approval for the inclusion of live plants as part of their proposed 2012 code revisions. A new subsection of Section 810 will be headed ‘Interior Plants and Pollutant Control’ and will outline where and how many plants should be used to comply with this optional green building guideline – which is administered by the International Code Council (ICC).  A mandatory plant maintenance program will also be required for compliance.
